A friend asked me if there was a combo antenna for VOR/NDB. I think there is enough difference in the two systems that it would not be likely. Any ideas?

It's an interesting question, and I looked at several places, but I think the universal answer is no.

http://www.avionix.com has lots of information, and on the ndb/adf page they say this:
"HOT TIP!! Whenever you buy an ADF, you must be sure you're getting the following extras with it:

The specific loop or belly antenna made exclusively for that ADF model.
The doubler plate for that loop antenna.
The sense antenna or long wire antenna if your specific ADF requires it.
The mounting racks, connectors and contact pins.
The special loop cable made for your specific ADF model and WITHOUT any cuts or splices.
Note: Loop cables are very specialized and expensive, often costing more than $300. In most cases, once cut, they cannot be respliced because this would alter the tuning of the system, rendering the ADF inoperative. If you have an ADF that is giving you trouble, it may be the antenna. It is always best to give us a call before you simply make the decision to upgrade. "
