Avatars - do others want them?

Are there any plans to activate the avatar function? I use that on another board with this same format. Does it use too much bandwidth?

Avatars, for anyone else like me who didn't know, are small pictures or graphics associated with the author of a message. No, I was not concerned as much with bandwidth as screen space. The boards that I have seen with avatars have longer threads for the same amount of text. If you post a message that says "Thanks Joe", it still uses up about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of an 800x600 screen (the whole site is designed for that screen size, even tho many folks have larger).

Anyway, I think I will copy your message and this message into another thread, see if there are others who want avatars...or don't...
