I have located the paperwork for the windshield without stiffener. It is a 337 form, filed in 1991, which also contains FAA form 8110-3 approved by a Structural DER on 5/3/1991. I have copies of this 8110-3 form with an "Analysis of Removal of Windshield Frame Center Member" and some accompanying photographs (which didn't reproduce well).
If anyone wants a copy of this form I would be happy to email it to you. I am a little reluctant to just post it to the website. Kevin |
Fantastic!
Makes sense.
Could you send to me at email? Bigcheese@potomac-airfield.com I will be able to use w my next windshield replacement. Why are you reluctant to post? |
Wow that’s amazing. Please add me to the list.

Mr. Adams,
Please private message me your email address so I can send the attachement. I can't figure out how to put an attachment through this forum. Kevin |
Thanks for the information. Was this a field approval by a DER, or DER generated tech data? If it’s tech data anyone can use it. If field approval than it only applies to that specific tail number. I know, some FAA rules are dumb.

I don't know the answer to this question because this was done before I purchased the airplane. However, these documents were sent to the FAA and I actually have them on a CD that I purchased from the FAA regarding the history of the airplane.
This $10 disc has a lot of interesting information on it. I was able to track down the original purchaser of the airplane and have him explain a log book entry that I didn't understand form about 1979! |
