Newman's, 4N0 is this weekend. It would be great if we could do a flight of 3 or 4.
Or, just pop in, we'd love to have you.

I hope to be there. Always a great fly-in. Weather could be a factor but yet to be known. Lots of planes, great food, friendly people, fly bys, surprises (one year a Grummen Albatross landed), helicopter rides, skymasters and fun.

Any interest in going to Fowlerville (65D)?? Sept 11, 7AM to 11AM

hharney 09-09-05 10:58 PM

Maple Grove is a great fly in (65G). I was there 2 years ago and there were at least 100 planes present. Great turn out and lots of activities. Gerry and I flew in, had pancakes (they were great), walked around and looked at displays, the kids participated in various activities like sumu wrestling. Easy to find and a very nice wide grass strip.

Here's the plan, it will probably be great weather so there will be plenty of traffic. Meet in Howell (OZW) Livingston Co. at 0830. Brief for the flight to Maple Grove. Make 2 fly bys and land for pancakes. Enjoy the fly in and split at your leasure.

See ya there :)

WebMaster 09-10-05 07:39 AM

Hmmm, OZW is 75' wide. Seems wide enough for formation take-off

WebMaster 09-10-05 03:28 PM

Won't make it. I have to go to KHDC instead. then over to KPDK.

hharney 09-10-05 05:11 PM

Bummer, are doing some RELIEF flights?

WebMaster 09-19-05 02:47 PM

How about Dowagiac on the 25th. I'm gone all week again, (business) but will be back Friday night.

hharney 09-19-05 09:39 PM

Dowagiac (C91) is on the 24th, Saturday, from 7am to 2pm unless they changed it. Predictions are calling for some T storms this weekend. I am available Saturday if you are interested or
Sunday the 25th is Owosso (5D3) is starts at 7am to 10:30 this could help the eastern Michigan Skymaster drivers to attend.
Also on Sunday is Lowell Municipal Airport (24C) 8 - 11 a.m. Lot's to choose from in this great season of flying the great lakes.

BTW, Maple Grove 2 weeks ago, WOW there must have been 150 airplanes there. I think there was another Skymaster around 9:30 that was taking off. Anybody else visit Maple Grove? My son won $50.00 of fuel and it was at least 14 gallons! Lots of fun and on approach I was 1/2 mile final and some guy in a 172 cut right in front of me. Where he came from I still don't know. But missing a 337 with all the lights on and transmitting on unicom has to hard to miss. Keeps you on your toes. The whole family went and it was good.

Well let me know what everyone wants to do. Last chance for formation flying.

hharney 09-22-05 10:36 PM

Looking like Saturday may not work into my schedule. Sunday is still a definite possibility.

WebMaster 09-23-05 07:03 AM

Sat won't work for me.
Sun is a possible

WebMaster 09-26-05 09:57 AM

How about y83, Sandusky, Saturday, Oct 1. It should be reachable for the Eastern MI Skymasters.
