Service Bulletins: Shall we subscribe?
Folks,
I talked with Cessna today, wound my way through the corporate maze. Everyone was actually quite helpful, and I have received permission to post service bulletins for Skymasters on this site. A subscription for these service bulletins is $88 per year. About the only way I can think of to do this is through donation. I will donate the time to scan the bulletins as they arrive. I will also scan bulletins from the beginning of 2002 if Cessna sends back issues as part of the subscription. Anyone who wishes to donate toward such a subscription, please send your donation, to: Kevin Mackenzie 39860 SW Snowcrest Dr. Cornelius, OR 97113 Please make the check payable to me. Please write "Service Bulletins" on the bottom of your check. If I receive more than $88 dollars, I will save the money to extend the subscription next year. When we reach $88, I will subscribe. As I receive each check, I will post a message on this thread indicating how we are doing towards the goal. If anyone has a paper copy of MEB02-7 that they can mail to me at the above address, the FAX copy I got did not scan the picture very well, I would like to improve the quality. Blue skies, Kevin |
Hey Kevin....
what,s an amount to start off with? Do you think ten bucks a head is ok or no? Guy....old72driver....(in retirement, don't know for how long)
|
I was afraid someone would ask that.:) It depends on how many people contribute. $5 to $10 seems reasonable. But if a large number of folks contribute, it will be way too much, I'll have to do refunds or something.
Too hard a question for me Guy...sorry. Maybe if folks post a message in this thread with how much they are contributing, once we get past $88, other folks can save their contribution until next year. Kind of like a signup sheet... BTW, I won't cash the checks until we get to $88. If not enough people contribute after a decent period, I'll just destroy the checks, you can deduct them from your register. Kevin |

SBs
$10 "in the mail." Thanks for going to the trouble.
|
As usual, I'm about 3 days behind on the board and just saw this thread. $10 on its way. Question: Will you accept PayPal? Moving money via internet is easy and I much prefer it to writing and mailing a check. But if you want snail mail . . . .
|
kevin
Ditto for me..
can send $10 USA Pesos via paypal today no problem. bob |
Sorry
Kevin:
Sorry, been covered up and incognito lately. $10 is done! I'll send it snail mail Monday when I get back in the office. Blue Skies back at ya. Thanks again. KevEn ________ ANAL PLEASURE |
We are up to $50 in contributions so far, with more promised but not received yet. List of contributions received is on the home page of the site. Thanks to everyone so far, it looks like we are going to get there!
Kevin |
Well, you would have had my $10 by now if you had let me know if you take PayPal!! However, so as not to look like I'm a slacker, I've put the check in the mail a few minutes ago. This is truly a case of "the check's in the mail!"

Shall we subscribe?
Kevin,
I too have $10 heading your way. Living in Europe, if I can use PayPal to transfer the money, it would make things real easy. OK with you? Cheers! /Sten |
Count m in
Kevin, count me in for $10.00
Jerry:D |
me too
I'll send a check via snail mail when I get home.
|
Kevin,
I will put a check in the mail to cover the last $18.00 tomorrow morning. Thanks for all your good work! |
Great! Thanks everyone, it looks like we have promises for more then enough to get the subscription going. I'll keep you posted as the checks arrive.
Thanks! Kevin |
Goal reached
We've reached the goal on contributions, the service bulletin subscription will be ordered on Monday, 11/11/02. Thanks again to everyone that contributed. Additional contributions that are received will be held for next year's subscription.
It will be nice to have this resource on line. Kevin |
Hi, Keven.
Just got on after about two weeks. I will send you $20 towards next year (or?). Will get it in the mail Monday. Jim |
Permission revoked
Sorry everyone, Cessna has revoked their permission to post their Skymaster related service bulletins on this site. See story on home page, http://www.337skymaster.com/#revoke.

Contribution
Kevin,
Please consider Jenny and my check to be a contribution to the upkeep of the web site. Cash it and thanks for your contribution of time and resources. |
Likewise. Keep the money, Kevin.
|
That's very kind of you both. Perhaps we can find something else generally useful that we can use the money for in the future...
Happy Thanksgiving! Kevin |
Money
Kevin
Keep the money, you had no way of knowing that Cessna would renege. We are only talking about a few bucks for gods sake. Fred N358 |
Hey Kevin....
treat yourself to a coffee or something with my dono, can you think of any way around this?? Guy....old72driver....

Money
Alright you deadbeat, I've sent you my address 4 times and still haven't received my money back. If you need it that badly, just keep it. It's only $10 bucks for god's sake.
Just kidding. . . . Keep it and put it towards something useful like a webmaster beer fund. Lord knows you've earned it. :) Thanks, Keven ________ Mercedes-Benz R129 History |
Cessna Service Bulletins
Sorry that didn't work. I am surprised Cessna doesn't want the information out for safety purposes (to cover the butts, actually) rather than try to collect a few dollars per SB.
Keep my $10. Something else will come up later and I really appreciate all the time and effort you devote to this endeavor. Jim Rainer |
Thanks Fred, Jim and Guy. Thanks Keven, I think... ;-)
Actually Keven, I would have sent you your check back sooner, but Big House, near shady tree is just not enough for the post office. They keep confusing it with the prison. (You know, that big building where all your clients are?) Kevin |
