Ferry Pilot Southern Oregon

Hello 337 Drivers -

I'm looking for a 337 pilot to ferry a 337D from KCEC (Cresent City) to S05 (Bandon, OR). I have a guy in the CA central valley, but thought I would ping this group to see if there is anyone in the Southern Or or near CEC area that can do this. CEC is not the easiest to get to.

Thanks,

Bryan

Can you provide more details?

When? What is the condition of the aircraft and the purpose of the ferry?

What are you offering for compensation if any?

Yes sure!

It's a 1969 D model that has been sitting for 20 yrs. We are on the tail end of an extensive refurbishment and getting her airworthy. The mechanics are out of Bandon and have been traveling down for the work to date. We are wanting to move it from CEC to Bandon for sheetmetal and hydraulic actuator rebuild work. Because it has sat for so long, there are places on the top of the wing that we want to replace and also strip and repaint the entire top surfaces. Rear engines were topped and front engine has been replaced. The schedule right now is to ground run the engines next week and if all looks good and the IA signs off, we want to ferry around the first week in Aug.

Yes on the compensation. My current guy is $400 per day however, because of where it is located, it could be a 3 day trip. If someone was closer, than any delays, weather or otherwise, won't cost as much and can be more flexible on scheduling or timing.

Just thought I would find out if anyone was interested.

Thx

Bryan

I was just in Grant's Pass two weeks ago. I'll probably be back there in another 3-4 weeks. I'll check to see if you're still stuck at that time.

Thanks Jim!

I hope it went well. My GP trip has been pushed back to late September at earliest.
