Maybe the reason your OEM door holder-opener wasn't working properly was due to inadequte operating pressure? The normal operating PSI is around 650 to 750 PSI.

What's different about the 'improved' version from Bell? Oh, and how much moola-moola?

We changed the seals in the factory stock cylinder a few years ago in my P model, and it held the door at 90 degrees just famously. Not sure why you would need a new one...

Seals cost a couple of bucks.
