I'm new to the forum, and new to C337 ownership. I'm loving the airplane but have a question for you experts. I think I can upload a picture of my fuel selector for review, but why on earth would Cessna use a RED placard for normal fuel use, Rear/Right, Front/Left.

I had a picture but think it was to large (1 mg) for the site.

Does yours have long range tanks If so please make sure you understand your fuel system inside and out . There have been a lot of accidents due to fuel mismanagement

Go to http://www.skymasterus.com There is an excellent article on understanding the fuel system Fuel Supply Management

Now that the photo is there I see what is going on with your colors. Someone has the color disc in the wrong place. I’ll bet you can rotate the disc 90 degrees clockwise and it will be in the right place. Black on top, green on right, red on bottom and blue on left. I think that might work but not 100% it will rotate like that but that's the problem

The Aux tanks are only for straight and level flight, are not plumbed to the electric fuel pump and are not to be used for take off and landing. Therefore the red placard to get your attention
