Vortex Generators
 

Does anyone hava any experience with vortex generators such as Micro-Dynamics. I own a 1973 Pressurized model and my only complaint is the useful load. My hope is that one of these kits results in an increased gross weight.

If you use the Search function on the board and search for Micro-Dynamics or vortex, I think you will find several threads on this subject. But I don't think VGs will allow you to increase gross weight. I hear that the Flint tip tank mod has a gross weight increase, and I think Owen Bell (see Web Pages section of this site) also has a gross weight mod, but I have no personal experience with either mod.

I think a gross weight increase would seriously compromise single engine performance. There is only so much you can do with a certain amount of horsepower...

PEYTON, ON THE MESSAGE BOARD HAS VG'S ON HIS 337. THERE IS PLENTY OF THREADS TALKING ABOUT THIS AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IT SOUNDS LIKE A REALLY GOOD MOD TO GET. I THINK RICHARD HAS THEM ON HIS ALSO.
