That 336 With Swing Out Rear Engine

Here are a couple of photos of the aircraft concerned. The rear motor and firewall section was modified in 1965 in Sydney, Australia, prior to the 336 entering service with Ansett-MAL in Papua New Guinea. I will try to obtain clearer photos of the hinges/connections asap. Enjoy, any questions???

Carried a 44 gal drum, didn't it?

Hi all, Just heard that CMY has been rescued from the impending ashes. Well done.
My 336 is certainly the only operational 336 in Australia. I was offered CMY a few years ago for free, but decided against it due to storage problems at the time. David |
