boots

how can you tell if an skymaster is "plumbed for boots", someone is selling one that way and I want to be sure thay (the boots) can be added easily

The wings/booms should be plumbed, so remove a wing leading edge panel and see if there is a pipe running down.

Steve,
My advice is if you want a Skymaster with boots, buy it that way. Adding them later is very expensive, it is $15.5K just to have boots replaced, no telling what the rest of the stuff would cost, if you can find it at all. The plumbing is only part of the issue, you need valves and timers, switches, warning lights, etc. as well. You also have to pay the labor to research all this out and install it. The one exception to this line of thinking is if you find a plane that someone took just the boots off of, but left everything else on. I know of a guy in Illinois selling a P337 that meets this description.

Could you give me more info about the P337 for sale? Any pics, prices, etc.

Thanks to all for your responses!!

Skymaster 337B,
the plane I mentioned is N6ML, it is a 1980 P337H. The owner is Stoney Burke and his phone number is 312-953-1040. The plane has a really nice new interior and is very low time. It had boots at one time, but they are off now, but all the other stuff appears to be present. Give Stoney a call for more information, he was asking $175K.

Jeff
