Brake Question
Looks like one of the disks on my '77 P337 is warped and they are worn to the point I could replace them.
In the parts book there is a HD verions listed. How do I know which one I have? Does anyone have a recommendation for replacements and a source? Thanks in advance. Dan ________ Yamaha yz250 |
Answering my own questions
You know, I did search the site.
The second time much more thoroughly. So, found I have the HD via 18x5.5 mains and that Prefered has the best deal. Great resource this web site. Thanks-Dan ________ Bondage Submissive |
Amazing
Sometimes it works that way. You have a question, and someone else, a while ago, had the same question. And, it's even better if they got an answer, so now you do, too.

Brake question
I saw somewhere that the metalic pads were NOT preffered. Is there another option?

I have the metallic linings and they work very well. If you have the 18 X 5.5 wheels and brakes, I think that you have to go with the metallics.
They actually have better stopping power than the organic linings. Be sure to follow the recommended lining seasoning that is in the manual. |
most all "p"'s hubs warp, it's the weight.
be prepared to have the hubs turned as they are thick and the calipers will not be seated. |
