Fuel Flow in C336/337

Hello ALL,
I'm a new member so I hope this is the correct place to ask this question!
I'm looking into buying a C336 and have a question related to fuel flow.
If half of all fuel going to the engines and the other half returning to the mains, how does the fuel flow indicator work?
If you have say, a Shadin fuel flow indicator, does this instrument show all the fuel going to the engine or JUST the actual amount entering the engine?? If this is the case is the transducer located at the engine, so it only shows what fuel is going into the engine.
MANY THANKS-ADVANCE.

sahddin transducer is located in the fuel line on the engine, so it's registering only the amount that the engine is using - nice product that does a lot more, when coupled to your gps.

Rick, as a mechanic I was NOT sure how that system worked. When I heard that twice the fuel was delivered to the engine than needed I was curious.

Mine is dead on within 1/10th of a gallon on fillups of 100 gallons. Don't know how it works, but much like when your wife knows you are lying, a fuel computer knows how much fuel you actually use.
