Interior Assistance
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone
On the final phases of the interior refit, need some assistance. On the "G" model it has two aluminium extruded mouldings down each side if the interior, these mouldings are used to hold the plastic window mouldings in place. They have a what seems to be a fake woodgrain strip glued in the centre. I will attach a photo from another aircraft where you can see the moulding I refer too. My question: Does anyone know where to obtain some of this fake woodgrain strip? :D Good news is after 4 years, 1200hrs we are on the final run with few things left to do. Dave |

Thanks Herb
Appreciate the info, vinyl may be the direction I have to go. Current woodgrain strips are approx 0.8mm thick and don't seem to be vinyl. Not sure if the strips in mine are original as it had an interior refurb back in 2003 (I am changing color and using real leather this time) since then it had only done 103hrs when I bought it as a project in 2010. I do have a couple of spare aluminium mouldings still with the original woodgrain from another aircraft, time to remove it to see what it is made of. Anyway a job for next week when I get back down under, currently enjoying a bit of Nashville TN weather. Thanks again for the reply Herb, greatly appreciate the time to do so. Dave :D |
