Gear Door Retraction issue

Hello to all the guys and gals on this forum!

Before anyone scolds me, I did do a search and found several threads with the same problem, but I have an additional symptom.

So here's what happens:

After selecting gear up/gear down, the landing gear extends/retracts. All gear doors stay open and close only after working the manual pump.
Now when several flights ago when this problem just started, it seemed as though the doors were trying to close by looking through the mirror.

I have checked the hydraulic levels and it is where it should be.

Any advice on what to look at is appreciated.

Victor

Please, always include the model and year of aircraft when asking questions. There are too many differences with models.

Check all the micro switches and wires that energize the switch, on the doors and the uplock switches. Doors will not close if the system gets a signal that the gear is not up. If one of these wires is broken, loose or not making contact the doors will not close. Also if the switch is not making contact to the strike area then the doors will not close. It is a closed system and if one switch is open or wire is not connected that will cause the problem.

not going to scold you, but I did post an identical sounding problem a ways back (2011 or 2012-ish)....

turned out to be some little micro switch under the dash, on the pilot side.

I tried micro switched in well wells, cleaned all contacts, replaced hoses, etc...turns out that little switch which somehow was moving with the cable or wire it was attacheed to, because it had broken free of its mount point.

sorry I don't have more info, but that's what I remember...it is a 1968 T337C model.
