Service/Parts manuals on CD...

I wanted to post a question about the maintenance and parts manuals for all of you Skymaster owners out there. Even though I'm not an owner yet, I would like to continue to educate myself about the 337. I have seen maint. manuals on Ebay but I was outbid so I missed that opportunity. Out of curiosity I went surfing around on the Internet and found the McCurtain website which has Skymaster service/parts manuals on one CD. They want $45.00 for the CD which seems very reasonable. Does anyone have a copy of this CD? If so, what do you think about the quality and ease of use? McCurtain claims that if you print the pages, they are as good in quality as the original manuals from Cessna.

On a side note...I wish I could make it to the Seminar in Nashville but, the Army has me in a different part of the world at that time. It would have been a perfect opportunity for me to attend the meeting as I am only about 45 minutes away. Perhaps Nashville will be chosen again for future Skymaster seminars!

Well, I can see a number of folks have viewed my posting but no one has given me a reply...yet. Listed below is the link to the McCurtain website if anyone is interested in finding out more about the service and parts manuals they offer on CD. After viewing their website feel free to post your opinon on this thread! Perhaps someone else, like myself, might be interested in purchasing the CD as well.

I just ordered it.

I have the printed service manual for my bird, but have been wanting to get the CD for some time. I used your link and ordered it two or three days ago.

I like the idea of being able to print a page or two and use them for maintenance without worrying about messing them up.

They shipped the CD via snail-mail. With all the activity in the post office during this season, it may be a few days before I get it.

I'll try to respond as soon as I know how I like it.

James,

I bought the McCurtain 336/337 Service Manuals (64-73) and Parts Catalogs (64-72) six months ago. Very happy with it and think it's well worth the money...

I just received the manuals on CD and all I can say is thanks for posting the link. I have only reviewed the service manual so far, but it is excellent. I have found only one page that lacks a little in clairity -- that is in the electrical diagrams section -- and it is usable.

I think you will be very satisfied if you choose to invest the $45.00.

Happy Holidays to you all.

I just received the cd with both service and parts manuals... How very cool.

The way they cataloged everything in the pdf makes the data very easy to find.

Bookmarks and chapter/page reference is really user friendly.

Dunno

:( The manual covers through 1973. Not sure what year the H model is.

337H

The 337H I have is a 1978. H was the last unit produced from 78 to 80. I guess the CD manual is not avaliable for my bird. Dale Campbell
