GO-2A Conversions
 

Can anybody advise me some details as to what a GO-2A is?
My records indicate that the following have been converted:-

c/n 337M0101 s/n 67-21395
c/n 337M0144 s/n 67-21438
c/n 337M0218 s/n 68-10853
How, When, Where, Why...any info appreciated.....

The GO-2A's were modified to carry the "Pave Low" and "Pave Arrow" LASAR target designators, the for runners of "smart" bombs.

The GO-2's would orbit, keeping the lasar beam on the target and the guided bomb would follow the beam to the target.
