Looks like the channel used to hold the ceiling sections. Is there velcro on the back of it? there are likely 8 pieces of these for each of the ceiling sections. Make sense?

I too have found that the oil is best around 7 qts on the dipstick, any more and I just wipe it off the belly. I use 8 qts on an oil change. Not sure what others are doing but I am changing the oil...

We had to do the push rod seals as well. is tedious but worth it. The amount of work to get the oil leaks under control is worth it. I wish you luck. I love owning my plane.

Checkride Done!

Well just wanted to report that my checkride woes are now behind me. Completed today and have my new temp certificate. A lot of work to get there, very happy with the result.
