He helped all of us.

Though I never had opportunity to meet him, I feel I knew him through his contributions to this site. I, too, will miss him.

Does anyone know the nature of his illness?

Probably just that Cessna's running a little short of money. There is a sort of depression on, you know... And I haven't heard of Cessna getting any "bailout" money.

I have a 1967 337B and the shock mounts are all the same type. I find the Barry mounts are significantly less expensive than the Lords. I have not noticed a difference in the service life.

You can...

We tend to taxi out on the front engine only if we expect a long delay.

We arrive (to the line person) using only the rear engine. This is a short run on the rear only and is for the protection of...

Swiss Cheese

Ernie,

The Coast Guard (and it's Auxiliary) uses a model called Swiss Cheese to say the same thing. The example uses slices of cheese to represent occurances during a flight. If the holes in the...

Getting old has its advantages

6 hour fuel range.

3 hour bladder range.

A pretty safe combination!

Manuals on CD

I like the manuals on CD because you can print applicable pages, Get them dirty beyond use while working on the airplane then throw away the bad page... and you still have the "original".

Here is a...

No Expert

Todd,

I'm no expert on the gear, but I know you can extend/retract the gear using the hand pump instead of a mule. This may slow down the operation so you can see exactly what is going on.

Good...

All Right!

Herb,

The fuel tank bays look good. Glad it worked out! I do like Dave's idea of priming them though.

Slow moving Cork

Hey Herb! --- I'm an old man. I have not yet shipped the cork. I will hold it for now. Let me know if you need some. I'd rather give it away than let it go to waste.

Last time I was in New Orleans, we used the streetcar for all transportation. Prices were very reasonable.

Haven't been there since Katrina... I guess the street cars are still operational.
