OK, understand the mirror. Not sure what you mean by wing separators? Don't think you mean the light shield inboard the landing light - to far away... I had an idea to make a mirror bracket to go...

Like Pete says above, it could be the photo cell that is bad or dirty. In our experience, when the display starts to loose it's brightnes, that's usually a sign that it's about to go...

Here is a pic of the main PC board. The display intensity pot is R438. It's the one with the red arrow. Be sure to observe all regulations concerning avionics maintenance!!

Yes, there is a trim pot on the display circuit board that adjusts the dimmer level. Give me a day or two, and I'll try to scan the illustration of the layout and post on the board.

The EGT is essentially just a mV meter and can easily be checked an calibrated with a simple millivolt source. The probe is a thermocouple that generates a very small voltage when heated.

When I bought my 1971 F337F, I also got another partly dismantled 337 in the deal. It’s a 337D s/n 1088, supposedly complete, including a cargo pod, but ex props, bu it does have two engines....
