I have both these position lights and landing light on my 182. Purchased at Oshkosh. I specifically asked while there about certification and legality and they reassured. My IA has had no problem with them x yrs. The position lights I have can "strobe"-which is not legal at night when they need to be constantly burning. Just be sure to "strobe" only during the day. At the show and in use, the landing lights seemed to put out much better light than the Whelen products. Plan to do the same with my 337.
