Hello Fred, Sorry to hear you were ill, hope and pray you are doing better.

Don't know the full answer to your question but with regard to the rear prop, you don't have to put it in the horizobtal position. A skid flat landing and the rear prop will never touch the ground and get damaged. In any event, if you wanted to put it in the horizontal position you will require really good mirrors to see it.
