The O2-A was mainly known for firing "Willie Pete" white phosphorous smoke rockets in Nam to mark targets for fast movers, but they also had a rarely used Armor Piercing rocket loadout that crew chiefs called "Hot 28 AP". This loadout was used extensively in the Rhodesian conflict. It provided four rocket pods with 7 rockets, each armed with 10 lbs of armor-peircing high explosive. May not sound like much, but I wouldn't want to be nearby when it blows.

I've been told the "Hot 28" loadout was frequently requested by O2-A pilots, but it was denied, the brass couldn't have $25k (1968 prices) Cessnas doing what a $1MM fighter bomber could do. The optics would be poor.
