I haven't tried the WX version, but the feedback I've heard gives it rave reviews. I'd check on the timeliness of the data and whether they offer coverage for your area. I doubt it would be much use over the Rockies, just because local conditions change so darned fast. I think the display, combined with the 400 MHz ARM processor speed (which did make a difference when I upgraded my iPAQ) would make it very useful if the data is up to date.
