If you have a document describing the differences I'd love to see it. Is there something structurally wrong with the 336? Based on reading some of the posts here, not sure if this is correct, but it sounds as if the sight picture in cruise is higher than the 337. According to the information I've seen, the 336 has the ability to get in and out of my home field at std day gross with room to spare, while carrying the desired payload and possessing the desired range with twin engine safety.

Looks like 37 total accidents/incidents for the 336, 12 of them fatal. I think there were 195 336's produced. Also there doesn't appear to be any of them for sale currently.
