Oshkosh anyone? Arlington?

I am thinking of going to Oshkosh this year. As Bob Cook will testify, just because I am thinking of going someplace doesn't mean my life lets me do it, but never mind...

I think Bob goes to Oshkosh...

Would anyone like to organize getting together there? Maybe parking together in the camping area, if anyone else is camping (I will, if I go)? Is that even possible to do?

I will be in the twin row at Arlington this year. I nearly always attend on Saturday, arriving at sunrise, and leave Sunday afternoon, but I might attend more days this year, not sure yet...

Anyway, I thought I would start this thread, see if anyone else is planning to attend either of these events...

We had six on the field last year. Four were sold
A new member joined with two, so we are back up to four.

2- 1967 337B one was sold
1- 1973 337G sold
1- 1973 P337G
1- 1971 337F sold
1- 1972 337F sold

The new member has two P models. One made in France not sure what years

Yes I do go, at least for a few days and like to camp out on the north west corner of the field close to the Walmart store.

I'll be in Oshkosh. I normally fly and park in Appletonm Wisc. and take the bus down. About 25 minute ride.

I will be at Oshkosh 7/22 thru 7/24 or 25. I will be driving with friends and camping near the front gate. If I knew where you were going to meet I would like to stop by. I would like to fly but the old Skymaster engines are getting a little HIGH TIME (2100) and I don't like to get to far from home, maybe next year. If I flew up in my friends twin Commander you still would talk to me wouldn't you, ha ha. Hope to see you there!!!!!

Jerry, Fly in and camp. Lots more fun. I have a small tent and a 1kw generator. It is a lot more fun than a hotel room (unless it rains).

We can keep this thread going (please do), but to make it easier for everyone, this weekend I will make a page and thread for each fly-in (Oshkosh, Arlington, Nanaimo) and list who is going, keep it updated for where we meet, etc.
