Corrosion SID
Has anyone heard anything about the new corrosion SID that Cessna is putting out? My A&P said compliance will be expensive, especially in the twins. Of course, it will not be mandatory for part 91, I assume, but if you go to sell, will most buyers want it done? He said for the 100 series, it will be around $5K and for the 300 series could run over $30K? Sounds ridiculous to me...is Cessna attempting to find a way to get rid of anything over 20yrs old? Time to start looking at Pipers and Beechs? Geez...

The SIDs for the Cessna 336 and 337 were issued long ago. There is an entire thread on the subject (it's the second "Sticky" thread, above this one). It's a complicated matter and the whole thread is worth reading. Yes, Part 91 does not have to comply, and yes it's expensive for our aircraft.
