Rear Air Scoop Question

On the rear engine air intake scoop there is an outer and inner scoop. I have seen three different pictures. One shows no tape. One with a layer of tape creating a seal between the two top surfaces only. One sealing the surface all the way around
Does anyone know which method is correct ????
Thx

I think there is supposed to be fiberglass insulation pad between the scoops to keep the skins from oil canning and the tape kept it in place. My T337H’s were taped completely around
