return engine cores to the U.S.
I am importing two engines into the U.K from Continental. Part of the deal is that I have to pay an $8500 core deposit on each. Does anyone out there know (especially European members who may have done this) how U.S. customs treat these cores on importation into the U.S. ?
I have posed this question to Airpower and Continental, both of whom can't give an answer.(which I find quite bizaar as Continental have been in the business of building and selling engines worldwide for over 50 years ! ) I have also contacted U.S. customs but it is proving difficult to get any sensible information from them. I really need to speak to someone who has done this. Can anyone help please ? |
