Engine oil leaks
So after having put over 105 hours on pushey in the last 1.5 years time to chase down oil leaks on the front engine.
Inlet check valve to turbo appeared to be cracked, taking it off the 1/8 pipe nipple broke off, ouch, no used ones 1127$ for that one, Oil temp sensor 3080-55, gasket was not in the right position. This sensor has the extra flange on it, a NOS that I just received is totally flat, same p/n with a solid copper gasket also. Removed rear accessory case do to oil coming from the driven oil pump shaft that is press fit into the case, mine is not flush with goop on it. There is two gaskets one for the alternator and one for the tach cover. The original 360’s had one gasket for both, which is what I am going to install. This shaft is supposed to be flush with the rear of the case installed with loctite 271 and primer, it does come in over sizes. I am replacing the rear case with an aluminum one from Divco and complying with the SB installing the new oil pump gear and drive gear, along with the different screen. Hope all this helps Dan 67S |

Here are a few pics. The shaft for the driven gear is supposed to be press fit in the case with 271 loctite. The other pics are the new oil pump drive gear, oil pump gear, and new screen called out in SB96-4. I am amazed on how small the original key is for the oil pump gear.
