Back when I owned a 150, I refurbed it using the Airtex upholstry and carpet, every thing fit and looked nice. I also redid the interior of a Piper Arrow using the Airtex materials. Fairly simple and straight forward.

![]() I had mine done two months ago by Aircraft Interiors located at N71, which is in south central Penn. aprox 15 miles west of Lancaster.
The job they did was fantastic, leather thru out, new headliner, stripped seat frames, all thestic taken off and repainted. I cannot say enough for the job. Now the best part----all for 5800 including rewebbed seat belts. Phone is 800-890-2004. They will most likely quote an initial higher price, around 8800, but he will either have a current slot or call you latter and tell you if you can get it in right now, he will knock off $3000. I can send some pictures if you want, let me know. Rick |

Ricky, that is fantastic.
I just got a quote on my 69 for $9900, not including the cost of leather. |

If you had trouble, like me, in viewing the pictures above, having to scroll up/down and left/right and never seeing the whole enchilada, I've re-posted smaller pictures below. May I suggest that people posting pictures first reduce them so that the larger side is something like 700 pixels; this is easily done in Adobe Photoshop and most other image-handling software. In addition to easier viewing and faster loading, it will take less space in Kevin's website.

That's a really nice looking interor, and a great price!
If they would be willing to do another one at that price, I think I might have to give them a call. PS: Concerning the AirTex interiors, I believe there was an article about them in AOPA pilot a year or two ago, where a guy described the process. It was very interesting, and he brought up several points I hadn't considered. Check their archive. |

About 12 years ago, I redid my 1979 Turbo Arrow interior. I took lots of pictures and drew arrows on some to identify the types of material I wanted in each location.
The materials arrived from Airtex about 4 weeks later, and all fit perfectly. The attention to detail was incredible and when I was finished, it looked as if it truly was a factory interior. It looked great. I would think seriously however if you were thinking of doing the work yourself. It took me about 4 weeks of evenings and weekends to finish the job. Working with spray contact cement is truly an art. LUCKILY, my headliner was in good condition. I did however elect to repaint the plastic trim around the windows. Finding the special paint to bond to Kydex took a while, but eventually found the right stuff ( methyl Chloride based ). ( If I had it to do again ) unless you are specifically interested in projects like this I would strongly consider having a professional shop do it, or even Airtex themselves do it. Best wishes,.......Barry Sloane N187 |

Just reupholstered mine last year using airtex carpet side boards and headliner and they are excellent! I think it was about $1500 for the lot? Then I had a local guy do the seats and paint and cover the plastic $3500. He said that he could do carpet for less with a much higher quality carpet. Really his comments led me to believe that he could do the carpet and sidewalls with better materials for a bit more (probably within $2k or so) but that the headliner (wool) was very well done and at a hard to beat price.
