Intermittent flap problem
Hello all,
So here's my problem, the flaps on my O-2A (M337B) have an intermittent fault. Activate them and they will travel to the appropriate position (1/3 or full down) but then they get stuck there and won't retract. A bit embarrassing when it happens during a local charter and you are speed limited due to stuck flaps! So I leave it overnight and come back the following day and, Hey Presto! They work fine. A few days later it happens again... Leave it on the Tarmac for a day or two, and same deal... They work! The O-2 has the flap motor in the ceiling so the next step is remove the sound proofing and have a closer look at the limit switches, and other components, although one of the local engineers suspects it's a microswitch/connection problem within the selector loom on the panel. Anyone have a similar problem or any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Conway |
