30-61d calipers

Hi all.

In case anybody has been struggling near as much as I have trying to locate calipers for early skymasters, Wentworth currently has two that they believe are perfectly serviceable. It was difficult to tell from the pictures, but they indicated that there should be no problem repacking them. They might even have good internals already; I'm not sure. The price seemed fair. I want to say on the order of $300 maybe.

That said, I would be remiss in omitting what Textron told me recently. When I called they shocked me with a claim that brand new units were expected in at the end of the month. I asked them to please confirm that it really was a 30-61D type caliper. They confirmed and repeated that they expected them in at the end of January. Someone located new old stock for me for about 150 less per, and they indeed looked brand spanking new so I took them up on it ... largely because I'm not sure if I believe Textron's claim, less because of the price difference.
