teflon / slicon tape
there is tape made that can be applied between cowlings and the aluminium structure that will eliminate chafing. it also will elininate the streaking coming out of thoes areas (looks like an oil leak; but is relly aluminium dust. the company is on line but do not have there address, someone told me it goes for about a buck a foot and comes in many colors. if anyone knows please "e" me

![]() put a bead of silicon on one of the surfaces, smooth it out and let it dry. have been doing this for years
