Do STOL kits require NDI?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of purchasing a 337 with a Robertson STOL kit and was advised that there is a Cessna OEM (Cessna OEM SL ME78-2) requiring a non destructive inspection on the wing spars every 100 hrs.

Can anyone shed any light on this requirement?

Thats a new one on me. Never heard of this one. Maybe things are different down under?
