Battery
Hi guys,
My 2 year old battery just bite the dust on my 337H. I leave one of those expensive chargers on that charge and switch to maintainance mode. It totaly shorted out. I should get more life than that. Where is the best place to get a Gill or Concord 24 volt battery. Dale Last edited by Dale Campbell : 01-25-10 at 10:28 AM. |

I have used Wag - Aero and Spruce, depends on shipping, they have free at times. I have been using the Concord RGI (sp?) sealed type, for the last two I purchased. I get about 5 years out of them and they are certified for our aircraft.

Dale like everything there will be alot of different views on this, But i just replaced two sealed batts. after six months use. I couldn't get them to stay charged and spent alot of time talking to the guy at gill and his recommendation was to use lead acid type if it sits alot. Sealed okay if flys alot. And of course the charging part is very important to maintaining the life of the battery. I purchased thru Desser I like them alot. Jay

I have had best service from the Concorde RG sealed units. I think I have the RG24-15. It's PMA'ed for our aircraft. I try to fly once a week but miss a few in a years time but these batts have been giving me about 5 years service.

We use Concord RG-24-16 It's the same as the -15 but the top is different and fits the box better.
