Robertson STOL kit with VGs
Hi
I have searched the forum but don't see any pireps from someone who has the micro aerodynamics vortex generator set and a Robertson STOL kit on their aircraft. Does someone have this setup and if so can you comment on the performance of the combination? It seems like the VGs greatly improve the handling of the aircraft. My RSTOL equipped T337D already flies crazy slow before the stall, so I'm primarily interested in the effect on handling and flight characteristics. Thanks ben |

Micro VGs
I only have the Micro VGs on my 68 T337C (no Robertson kit), so can only pirep on that part by itself.
The difference in (most ![]() I really should know what the VGs took my stall speed down to (yes they did definitely reduce it), but don't. sorry. I will make that a priority to go up and do some stall tests at some point. But I think it supposedly reduces stall speeds by 3-5 kts. Again, flight characteristics of the VGs - thumbs up. Would do it again. |

Ahhhh, another T337 RSTOL1 I've had 20+ years. Hard to beat.
