P337 Range and speed

There are two tank capacities for the P337. 125 USG pre-1975 and 150 post 1975.

What maximum range does the 125 translate into in terms of NM for practical planning? 600? 700?

What do current owners plan in terms of cruise speed and altitude?

Any and all info appreciated.

Thank you for posting those threads. I had seen one of them in my search.

My question was more one of planning. What distance is reasonably planned on a P337 with standard tanks vs. long range tanks.

I believe that the answer is probably 600 NM for standards and 800 for long range. No wind, weather not a consideration.

I have a 73, I look for for a landing spot around 3 hours or 600 miles no wind, with IFR reserves. It will go quite a bit further if you pull it back. I like to take off at 9:00, fly eat lunch, then go again to where I'm going. From Tulsa pretty much takes me coast to coast in a day depending on winds. Don't know if I care about the extra 25 gallons of the newer ones. 3 hours I'm ready to stretch my legs and 25 gallons is another 150 pounds of weight. But to each his own, gotta pick the plane right for you. I would recommend a Riley tho if you want a P model, He did improve on the model.
