Pitot Heat unit/alternate
It looks like getting the thermostat/heater unit for the pitot heat is a very challenging thing. I'm not having much luck and ours keeps popping the CB every time it's turned on.
Does anyone know where I can get one or an approved alternative I could install? Thanks, Tripp Last edited by Trippster : 04-24-20 at 05:16 PM. Reason: attach photo |

Check all the connections as that will sometimes be the problem. I know Griswold Aviation has fixed several of these but can't remember where he sent them. Give Craig a call 269-330-2908

Thanks,
I've checked all the wiring and connections and it's definitely not that. I'll give air power a call. |

if the thermostat wasn't properly bonded to the pitot block I would suspect the heat pad is fried I would try ohming that

Still working on the element, it is wired in series with the thermostat. The thermostat should be bonded to the bottom of the pitot, it appears you heater is missing in the circuit.
