4,900 lb gross weight STC
Curious if any owners on this forum have done the 4,900 lb gross weight STC and what their experience was. What has to be changed? Is it a paper STC or require mods and if so are they significant?

I wish I could but am unable to find an STC listed on the internet for it. I spoke with him on the phone about it. The higher gross weight one (over 5,100 lbs) required modifying the booms for underwing baggage storage which would kill airspeed with the drag.

Who is this mysterious "him" of which you speak?

Dr Z, please take everything from “him” with a grain of salt.

I think weight increase involves use of winglets. See below. Several posts on the forum about this.
