Vref
So, it seems like my airplane is worth $10,000 according to VREF. I'm not sure that's entirely true. I wonder if VREF has an agenda? Perhaps a lawsuit against VREF is in the cards? Any thoughts?

When you say Vref, what exactly do you mean? Was this from a book, a web-site, etc.? It has been a few months since I last ran mine through the evaluator on AOPA's and Trade-A-Planes' web-sites but I never saw anything this low. Last I checked, my 1973 G model (no-turbo) came in around $37,000 to $40,000 with average to slightly above average paint & interior with high time engines. I'll have to check again.
It would be interesting if there was a way to see exactly what these planes (or any plane for that matter) sell for. I watch them on the various sites and see some of them come and go in a few months but some just seem to sit there forever. Seems the turbo models are more readily available. Any opinions.....? Ed |

I'll give you $12K! Seriously, this is a common theme: seller believes item is worth $x, buyer says $y, valuation service says $z, and bank thinks $z-. What's it really worth? Only what a buyer will pay.
