Gear handle will not stay in detent
I have a 337A model. On my last flight put the hear handle down but it would not stay in the detent. I held it down manually and the doors opened and the gear extended and the green light came on. Flew the next two legs with the gear down to get home. Has anyone experienced this problem? And if so what turned out to be the cause?

I believe it is and adjustment on the powerpak but it's been a long time since I worked on one of those old powerpaks.

Gear handle
Thanks for the response. After studying the maintenance manual, I determined that it would be safe to fly the aircraft and cycle the gear in flight. I did that and the problem did not recur. In fact I just got back today from a two day trip and the gear worked flawlessly. Timed the cycles and it is about eight seconds for the gear to extend and turn on the green light and about five seconds for the handle to return to down/neutral. Gear up cycle is about 10 seconds to retract and turn on the amber light and then about five seconds for the handle to return to up/neutral. If the problem ever recurs I think it might be a good idea to make a small adjustment to the handle return spring in the power-pack on the down side.
