Cessna wants my children!!!!
I'm in shock, so forgive me if I sound erratic. Ever pull the little wire mesh filter for your hydraulic system? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they need to be cleaned every 100 hrs. Well, I pulled mine. Noticed a small tear in the mesh. Needs a new one.... No big deal right? I'm thinking, maybe $20.00. Called up the parts man.... He said "you sitting down"? $1268.00 wholesale! For a paper thin disc slightly larger than a quarter. Is this just my imagination or is Cessna trying to make it's monthly overhead on filter parts?

Repair parts
Actually, they have decided they aren't making enough money, so they decided to jack the prices on all the spare parts, and then when that wasn't enough, they decided they didn't know how to engineer anything, and came up with SB's and AD's so you can spend some more money on their proprietary spare parts.
If you doubt that, check out this website cessna parts Last edited by WebMaster : 11-11-03 at 04:16 PM. |
