Engine analyzer?
What's everyone using? What's the best value engine analyzer for a naturally aspirated 337?

Do you have one Jeff? If so where did you mount it?
Thanks, John Last edited by kilr4d : 01-26-17 at 10:03 AM. |

Hi John,
I have flown with one in a 337 and loved it. I have bought one for my 337, but I have not installed it yet. I will find a picture and post it; where I plan to install in my aircraft - it will be on the RH side of the panel at this point. Jeff |

I mounted my EDM 760 right in front of me. Too many times I see the engine analyzers mounted way over on the co-pilot side and it is just too important of information to not have it in your scan all times. You can set up a warning light to alarm if something is out of limits but I like it right in front of me

Mounting Analyzer
John,
I did get the one with the C337 specific Harness. Herb - I agree with you on placement. I think that is why I have not installed yet, is that I would like to have it in front of the pilot, it would just mean rearranging the panel. I have done panels before - I guess I am just trying to come to grips how much work I want to take on. I am still trying to get one of my Stinson wings recovered...it seems I take on small projects (that one started as a small paint repair and turned into a new wing) and they grow in scope... Such 'first-world' problems I have. Jeff |
