First, a Merry Christmas to everyone.

My ACK A30 MOD 3 encoder died last week. In looking for a replacement, I found the MOD 3 is now obsolete and has been replaced by either a MOD 5 or MOD 9. Does anyone have experience with these and are either a direct “plug and play” replacement for the MOD 3 unit? I called the manufacturer yesterday and they are closed until January 3 so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The manual is available on aircraft spruce website along with the ACK unit they sell. Seems to say “plug compatible “. See page 2.

Bet they can send a unit out on Monday.
