Hi everyone,

I did something very expensive yesterday. I flew a 1973 337G for the first time. Of course, now I want one. It is about the nicest handling airplane that I have flown.

My questions are:

1. What do good annual inspections generally cost? What about maintenance through the year?

2. What are important things to look for when buying a 337? I want a normally aspirated G model or later.

3. What are the other questions I should ask that I haven't?

Hey everybody,

This gentleman is asking questions that all of us have wanted the answers to at one time or another before buying our airplanes. And we see them asked at one time or another repeatedly here.

I would like to use Dave T's questions as a jumping off point to starting a FAQ section on this site, that we can begin to refer people to when they are looking for answers to the common questions.

So here is what I plan to do. I am going to close this thread, so that no more replies can be made. I will then start three threads. They will be:

There is also another thread already going called Insurance Costs.

Please contribute to these threads as much as you can, and I will that the information in them, and create a FAQ page using what your provide, as well as what I can gather from other sources.
