Training
I am about to pursue my multi engine rating. However how does one get an endorsement for the inline rating?

CLT Rating
If you have a Multi-engine rating, you don't need an endorsement for piston CLT aircraft. If you have a multi engine rating and fly a Skymaster, you get to log it as multi engine time. However, if you only have a CLT rating, when you fly a Skymaster it must be logged as CLT. What this means is if you want to fly a conventional multi engine plane, you don't have multi engine experience. Sounds crazy, but that's the way it is.
