Hi Barry
When I removed my glareshield I found accessibility to the small mounting nuts just behind the instrument panel easier if I removed some of the top instruments. Mounting nuts are small brass ones, I found my hands needed to be half the size to get in and undo these nuts if you were coming from the avionics access panels, plus you have to contend with all the plumbing. There are also a number of mounting nuts across the glareshield, once you have these undone it is fairly straight forward to lift and remove. I reviewed my time sheets where I recorded 3.8hrs to remove some instruments and glareshield thenrefit, now the only difference is I did not refit the instruments at that time. Not a huge task in my view, just a fiddly one, hope this helps. Dave
