I haven't flown in the DR, but a) I've flown by its coastline, ferrying a Skymaster from the Virgin Islands to Florida and b) I know people who do fly there often, and I just called them on your behalf.
There is nothing unusual to report. Fuel prices are comparable to the U.S., 100LL is widely available (but make sure you have up-to-date charts and use the Internet to get airport phone numbers, etc.), there are no landing or tie-down fees, and security is good (comparable to the U.S.). Ernie |
