Diode Part numbers
Does anyone know the part number for the diodes that sit right behind the alternator fuses in the front engine compartment? These diodes screw into a large heatsink. They have a shaft with a hole for a screw and the bottom looks fit a 1/2 inch socket. I have one that has a broke shaft and need to replace it. We have a large electronics store here in Orlando and I would like to match it up.
The book says it's a 70 amp diode. If I read the wiring diagram correctly they are the diodes for the alternator out lights. |

Yes the book does not show the part number, they want you to buy the whole assy at a high cost.
If you take the diode assy off the plane and take out the diode it will have a p/n on it, if you could let me have that number I can convert it to a more modern one as that diode is not available any more. Pete |
